Community Based Participation
McCall Gardens will support you in taking part in activities that you enjoy, giving you the opportunity to meet and mix with people who share your interests. We can also provide you with the support you need to participate in the community with the support of a staff person 1:1. That means you don’t have to attend a centre based program if you don’t want to, but you can still be supported to do the things you really want to do.
Some of the activities, outings or learning and development you may like to do with the support of a staff person in the community are:
- Go to the movies
- Go shopping
- See a stage show
- Attend TAFE or a Community College
- Attend music or art classes
- Go to the club
Our aim is to support you to enjoy and achieve what you want to achieve from the activities, outings, learning and development opportunities of your choice. We will support and encourage you to achieve, gain independence and help you to feel valued as a member of the community.
