Flexible Respite is all about carers – those people who do so much for their loved ones, and occasionally need a break. While you’re taking a breather, our fantastic staff are here to offer in-home care, community access/out-of-home care, group activities and even some overnight care.

Eligibility for a flexible Respite Service

To be eligible for a flexible respite service, carers must care for someone who:

  • Has a diagnosed disability.
  • Is aged between 0 -64 years.
  • Is living with a non paid primary carer.
  • Is living in local government areas: Auburn, Baulkham Hills, Blacktown, Holroyd or Parramatta.

How to Apply

  • Referrals can be made by carers, family members, caseworkers, other service providers or advocates.
  • Contact RIAP Intake line on (02) 9407 1654, leave your name and contact details. When the representative rings you back you can make the referral over the phone.
  • If you choose McCall Gardens we will contact you as soon as possible and make arrangement to meet with you to discuss your needs as well as the support needs of your family member with a disability.

What does McCall Gardens offer

  • We offer a 1:1 service
  • Lifestyle Planning which will identify support needs as well as a persons aspiration for their future.
  • Staff who are trained in Certificate 1V Disabilities.
  • We match the staff with the person with a disability so that the person spends their day with someone they can develop a repour with.
